Siesta Key
beach is known for having the whitest and finest
quartz sand in the world. Amenities include a
fitness trail, food and gift concessions, picnic
tables, tennis courts, ball fields, soccer field
and playground equipment. Siesta Village
is located within walking distance from the
beach where there is a wide variety of
restaurants, bars, clothing and gift shops and a
small supermarket.
On Siesta Key you'll find an array of
residential properties within walking distance
to the beach, including quaint "old
Florida" bungalows, efficiencies, penthouse
beachfront condos and luxurious estate homes
with gorgeous views of the beach and Gulf of
Mexico. There are many beautiful
bay front properties available as well.
People wanting to purchase on
one of Sarasota's barrier islands usually
consider real estate on Siesta Key, Lido Key,
Bird Key, Longboat Key and Casey Key. Siesta Key
is the most conveniently located key to Sarasota. If you
are working or commuting to Sarasota on
a daily basis, you might consider Siesta Key over the other islands. |

Bird Key is a wonderful upscale community
located between downtown Sarasota and St.
Armands Circle/Lido Key. Residents have the
convenience of a short drive or bike ride to the
beach and downtown Sarasota, yet Bird Key is very secluded
affording plenty of privacy. The island is a
dream for boaters with spectacular bay front
homes, deep water canals and a private
yacht
club.
Most of the homes on this key
were built in the 1960's. However, many of these
homes have been torn down for larger, more
elegant homes. If you want a new home within a
short distance to the beach and downtown
Sarasota, this would be one of the best
locations. Contact me for a list of Bird Key homes,
either old or new. |

One of Florida's most
prestigious islands is Casey Key. The 8-mile
long island touches the south end of Siesta Key
and stretches down to Venice. There are two
bridges providing access to Casey Key.
The residents of Casey Key
are blessed with a tropical setting, stunning beaches,
beautiful sunsets,
boating, privacy, elegance and convenience. All
of the amenities of a large city such as
shopping, recreation, medical facilities, fine
dining, arts and culture are within a short
drive away.
Unlike Siesta Key, Longboat
Key or Lido Key most of the homes on Casey Key
are waterfront with boat access and are either
on the beach or have the beach across the
street. So, if you are looking to be on the
beach and have a boat in the backyard, visit
Casey Key.
Casey Key real estate exudes
a unique blend of old Florida charm, wealth and
elegance. The island consists of mostly
single-family homes. You won't find large
condominium complexes on the island, only a few
low rise condos and beach hotels that were
allowed under previous zoning. Some of the areas
most expensive real estate is found on Casey
Key. It is not uncommon to see visitors driving
down the island just to admire the palatial
waterfront homes. |
